Welcome to the Bánfi Lab
The Banfi lab studies genetic causes of deafness to identify new proteins and molecular pathways that can be targets of preventative treatments against progressive hearing loss.
Dr. Banfi works with a research scientist and a technician and hopes to grow his lab by recruiting graduate students who are interested in genetics and hearing. The lab collaborates with several other research groups both within and outside of the University of Iowa.
